A few years ago, my wife and I decided to invest in a plot of land and build our own house on it. We knew it would take a lot of time and effort, but the project would pay off in the end when we had our perfect house for little money. We did hire a few contractors to complete some tasks, such as electrical, but my brothers and I did most of the building.
